Consultations – targeted support for your team
To complement our training packages, we offer consultations that provide targeted, practical support for professionals working with a specific PDA child, young person, or adult within their setting.
These consultations can be booked as a standalone service or in addition to our training sessions, offering flexible support tailored to your team’s needs.
Consultation length
- 60-90 minutes
What the service includes
Each consultation:
- Is delivered by a PDA trainer with in-depth experience in supporting PDAers.
- Focuses on the specific needs, context, and challenges related to one named PDAer, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified, or currently under assessment.
- Supports up to five professionals involved in the person’s care or education (e.g. teachers, SENCOs, keyworkers, social workers, or therapists).
- Offers a confidential, solution-focused space to explore tailored approaches, review what’s already in place, and discuss next steps using PDA-informed strategies.
Purpose of the consultation
These sessions aim to:
- Reinforce and extend learning from your training session
- Help your team apply PDA principles in a real-world context
- Increase confidence in responding to complex or escalating needs
Cost and format
- £230 per session standalone service or £200 per session as part of a training package
- Delivered online for maximum accessibility and flexibility
- May be added at the time of booking or scheduled post-training as needed
These consultations are not diagnostic and are designed to support professionals working with a PDAer, rather than direct support to the individual or their family.
If you’re interested in adding consultations to your training package or would like to discuss how they could be tailored for your setting, please contact our training team at training@pdasociety.org.uk.
