PDA for Parents and Carers

October 8th & 15th, 6.45pm – 9.30pm

PDA for Parents & Carers is a supportive, two-part course designed to help parents and carers feel more confident in understanding and supporting PDA children up to the age of 16, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or still exploring the profile.
Across the two sessions, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of PDA, demands and their effects, while exploring practical, flexible approaches that can help in everyday life. The course also considers important areas including education, siblings and diagnosis, with a focus on building trust, reducing anxiety and finding approaches that work for your individual child and family.

Testimonials

Our training has a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70.38 — putting us in the same league as the UK’s most respected brands for customer satisfaction.

“Completely perfectly pitched for me: I have suspected my child has PDA and done some reading, but not sure what strategies would be the most effective. It was also really important to hear from young people and adults with PDA as this is missing from most accounts.”
“The information within this course has been very thought provoking. The strategies discussed will benefit our foster carers and hopefully help them assume a different approach in meeting the needs of the children in their care.”
“Loved the examples and stories throughout the course. Greatly increased my understanding of PDA and supporting PDA children and families.”
