Overview

Webinar recorded Wednesday 18th March 2026

The PDA Society is delighted to share this recorded webinar from our Q&A series, exploring different topics to support PDA people and their families. Available to buy individually, or upgrade to a monthly or annual plan to unlock our complete library of content, parent and carer and professional subscriptions are available.

This Q&A session explores the experiences of growing up as with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), with a focus on puberty, relationships, and early adulthood.

Led by expert speakers Dr Jennifer Huffman and Alice McSweeney, the session brings together clinical insight and lived experience to address often-overlooked topics such as identity, boundaries, dating, and pregnancy.

Designed for parents, carers, and professionals, this session offers practical strategies to support autonomy, reduce anxiety around developmental changes, and better understand the unique challenges PDA young women may face. The discussion highlights common misconceptions, shares supportive approaches, and provides guidance for navigating sensitive topics in a respectful and empowering way.

If you have any difficulties, please contact us at training.support@pdasociety.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
