Dive into how nervous system regulation and dysregulation affects PDAers, and how understanding these processes can support more compassionate, effective approaches to wellbeing, demand avoidance and everyday interactions.
In Part 1, we explore foundational concepts of the nervous system — what it does, how it responds to stress and demand, and why differences in regulation are central to the experiences of many PDAers. You’ll gain insight into nervous system responses and how they show up in behaviour, overwhelm and the need for safety.
Part 2 builds on this foundation with practical insight into nervous system support and regulation. We discuss tools, strategies and understandings that can help PDAers and those around them navigate overwhelm, calm activation states, and support co-regulation with empathy and awareness.
