Recorded Webinar
Originally broadcast: Monday 26th January, 8:00 – 9:00pm (Online)

The PDA Society is delighted to share this recorded webinar from our Q&A series, exploring different topics to support PDA people and their families. Available to buy individually, or upgrade to a monthly or annual plan to unlock our complete library of content, parent and carer and professional subscriptions are available.

In this Q&A session we’ll be exploring Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

We’ll be looking at how these experiences often overlap—both often coexisting, creating a cycle where avoiding demands (PDA) can trigger fear of rejection (RSD), leading to overwhelm. They interact powerfully: PDA’s anxiety can make demands feel overwhelming, while RSD intensifies reactions to perceived slights.

We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Hat Richardson—a speech therapist, author, and public speaker—who will be sharing both her professional expertise and her lived experience.

Whether you are personally navigating RSD or PDA, supporting someone who is, or simply interested in learning more, this session aims to provide valuable guidance, relatable examples, and a chance to connect with others who understand.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be an informative and insightful conversation.
