This session is ideal for parents, carers, and professionals who want to learn more about the PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile of autism. It offers a helpful introduction to PDA, including an overview of what it is, what we mean by “demands” and how they can affect individuals with PDA. The session will explore the nature of demand avoidance, suggest practical approaches that may be helpful, and signpost further resources for those who would like to explore the topic in more depth.
